A handy PiZero based AP/server that fits in a wallet. Battery, charge circuit and wifi included. Currently using Anyfesto, a variant of PirateBox, to serve up ebooks and files via a web interface plus audio streaming via VLC. Secure VOIP service via Mumble, IRC and shell services are available if wanted.Â
Why? For when connectivity to the Internet(tm)(c) is not available or is unwise to use. Also for sharing resources to those in your local area.Â
Where? From your person to the range of wifi. Can be augmented by having wifi repeaters in range.Â

The M$ification of Minecraft
"The first release of Minecraft: Education Edition will run on the latest versions of Windows 10Â and Mac OS X El Capitan"
It was as bound to happen. The cross platform ability that helped make Minecraft as widespread as it is starts to erode under Microsoft's takeover.
The worst thing is they are starting with MinecraftEDU. Feh!!!

We are inspired by the dedication and creativity shown by Minecraft educators each day. Use these resources to help transform the next generation of learners.
State Of The Podcasts
For the last couple of years I have been running several daily generated podcasts of historic broadcasts/recordings. A set of bash scripts does the day in day out generating the rss files from the  data files I craft up from source urls, many of which are hosted on the amazing Archive.org.
Once in a blue moon someone asks how many folks are listening to these things. Since I set them up mostly for myself and small group of comrades I have not delved into the stats. Today I took a peek and was pleasantly surprised. I had always figured maybe a dozen or two, a hundred at the very far end of possibility. Â Here is a look at a daily log.Â
