The US smartphone market has flattened out this year after a  krazy klimber run up to Androids  majority.  How many folks in the US have smartphones? 169 million people .  "Android ranked as the top smartphone platform in May with 52.1 percent market share, followed by Apple with 41.9 percent (up 0.6 percentage points from February), Microsoft with 3.4 percent, BlackBerry with 2.3 percent and Symbian with 0.1 percent."
So where to go now that the status is quo? For me it will most likely be FONA with a BBB or RPi running it (https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-fona-mini-gsm-gprs-cellular-phone-module) though having only T-Mobile as an option is a bit  limiting. How much of a laugh would it be to see FONA beat out MS, BB and Symbian.  +Adafruit Industries #FONA
