Years ago there was the promising  demo of  SixthSense. (http://www.pranavmistry.com/projects/sixthsense/) The site has been stagnant since 2009, so much for that hope. I expect Apple, MS Or Google will buy them out sooner than not and claim invention of it. Here it is before that eventuality.
