Our second Wednesday Night D&D Encounters session…this is looking to be a regular event in our week. The DM running it is fantastic, the story is the star with rules lawyering taking a back seat. 4e D&D is a very different beast when compared to the game "back in the day"….the rules reward teamwork, the mechanics are far less clunky and the action is set up in smaller slices. The Encounters in particular are aimed at an hour or two per session, perfect for my 9 year old. I am enjoying this return to an old habit.
