"They’re laboring on a comprehensive Latin dictionary that’s been in progress since 1894. The most recently published volume contained all the words beginning with the letter P. That was back in 2010.

And they’re not as far along as that may lead you to believe. They skipped over N years ago because it has so many long words, and now they’ve had to go back to that one. They’re also working on R at the same time. That should take care of the rest of this decade."

I can’t believe I’ve never reported on this massive lexicographical project before, but such appears to be the case. Happily, Byrd Pinkerton has done an NPR piece that gives me a chance to remedy the omission: On the second floor of an old Bavarian palace in Munich, Germany, there’s a library …

I personally live that Google devs in public, that we get to play the still forming goop of new projects. So what is rhis one good for?
Small groups, possibly to avoid toxic comment spew?
A response to Slack which is a response to irc still being so damn useful.
Threaded contained convos around an item? But G+ already so…..

Twitter Based Historic Broadcast Delivery System

Twitter Based Historic Broadcast Delivery System

Some people like podcasts, some like streams, others like tweets. Whatever your favorite method odds are you are able to get some historic broadcasts each and every day.
I have set up the @BroadcastPast Twitter account to tweet out descriptions and links to some of these broadcasts every day.
I started things by tapping into the collections of Jean Shepherd, FibberMcGee and Molly, The Goon Shows and early Just A Minutes. Over time and with user input this will grow.
To enjoy these offerings head over to Twitter, Follow @BroadcastPast, and then click on the shows you want to hear.
