Since 1999 the ranks of the Scouts organizations has fallen over 20%. Why? The organization has kept to its practices of discrimination while other organizations have not. Today I read that the BSA has once again upheld the  policy to exclude a section of kids and volunteers…so if you are an atheist, agnostic, homosexual or a girl you are not welcome.Â
"While a majority of our membership agrees with our policy, we fully understand that no single policy will accommodate the many diverse views among our membership or society,"
The Majority of your members….since your dwindling membership excludes various groups of kids and has alienated many more it might be safe to say you are polling the choir.Â
"“The Boy Scouts of America is one of the last cultural institutions to have discrimination as part of their policy,†said Richard Ferraro, vice president for communications with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, noting that the Girl Scouts, the Boys and Girls Clubs, the 4-H Clubs and now even the military forbid discrimination based on sexual orientation."
Even the 4H does not have rules to discriminate. Amazing. 
The organization had an 11-member committee review the policy starting in 2010 before deciding to continue barring openly gay members and leaders.
