Struggle makes you stronger…this we know. Our myths are filled with examples of the hero having an insurmountable task handed to them and they work hard to overcome it…or fail a few times and learn from it. Hercules and his tasks, Ceaser in Gaul, Luke and his swamp soaked space craft…Struggle is part of the learning process. The right mix of tossing the kids in the deep water and then reinforcing the hard work with positive praise so that the hard work to complete the task, even (especially?) when they fail first and move on to other solutions …that is the crux of this particular biscuit.
