If they think this is worth protesting I would think St Stupids day (St Patrick's day) celebrations would be on their radar to rant against. Add to that the other popular excuse to be a drunk arsehole celebration Stinko De Stupid.
The Arduino is an odd little beast in the house. I love it for the ability to quickly wire up an example, show it off, rip it down…and then on to whatever comes next. For me it is the equiv of the spring loaded 100-in-One electronic kits that even today still ghost around my house.  A long term project of mine that might never get down is to link the two …this book would go a long way to making that happen. It also seems a must have for instructors/geekdads to have at the ready for some spur of the moment hijinks. Go support them and get a book.
The World’s most popular reference for every user of Arduinoâ„¢ became the must to have tool! Makers, Tinkerers, Students and Teachers, Everyone will enjoy it!!!
One Can Too Many
It is not even a matter of then vs now, known vs unknown, the warm blanket of nostalgia vs freshie brand new jimmezyobiotch….it is perhaps, most probably is, a matter of personal taste.
For mood, method and music this (Â Mike Doughty – Circles Super Bon Bon (2013) [Full Album]) does not trump this (Soul Coughing – How Many Cans?).
I have not tracked the whole album yet, my interest compels me to get the full monty (support the artist ) but so far with just the  one song comparison I am not seeing M.D.'s point. That he thinks these are closer to how he wanted the songs…sure. He created the lyrics and such….but so far it does seem that SC as a band had a way of presenting those ideas that to me seem more like things I will play repeatedly, have in fact for …shit son…decades. Decades? Yep. Hello AARP.
Maybe that is the point here, that the listener once included in the process of experiencing the work in many forms will not always come to the same conclusions as the creators.
You can get the full new offerings of remixes(or  premixes if you take that these new offerings are how they shoulda been) at http://www.mikedoughty.com/  or even  http://www.amazon.com/Circles/dp/B00F4MFHLQ/ if you are so invested. iTunes?
