Big History? James Burke was doing this take on history/science with his Connections series ….back in the '70s. Having watched some of these shows I think there is a case to be made that he also did it better.  The Big History Project has such names as Sal Khan attached to it so maybe it will not be just a reheated version of Burke's good works.

Question for #boardgame and #wargame  folks… I want to play various old games online via android tablets with some old game droogs.
-We want to play mostly one on one so peer to peer is in the mix.
-Setting up a server is not a problem, I have a box here at home I use for game servers.
-Some of the games we want to play are not popular, supported or available on the devices we want to play them on. One or two of them are games we have developed ourselves, so it would need to have the ability to load in game assets.
-It would need to be able to save states so we can makes moves at our own pace.
Think of something like #cyberboard   or #VASSL   but for android   and you are in the right area. Any thoughts on the apps that might be able to do this?
(Yep we tried G+ Hangouts on the desktop  to do some of this and it was less than optimal)
