Three years ago my eldest son pitched Minecraft to his school's principle. He worked up a 5 min presentation complete with slides and some zingers mixed with the facts, costs and goals.  He made a great case.  He even showed some of the early work of MinecraftEDU.

This article hits many of those same points. Parents around the school , even the reluctant ones, will tell you the  energy surrounding Minecraft is off the charts. Even now, after a few years of proving itself to both players and educators,  the only reaction from the school to this idea is to bring up reasons why it can not happen.

There are enough kids in the school who are not only ready and willing to use Minecraft to explore new things, they are doing it. Another example of how routing around damage is often the best path.
