Every once in a while I try out the newer Linux desktop Guis. This is usually followed up by ripping out all the  bling and making it work  better.  And so we now find  ourselves on LXDE…again. Snappy, smooth and it does not waste precious slices of my CPU with things like fadey glitzy window dressing. Draw the damn frames, put on the menus and buttons, place the icons and please for the love of Bob do not add to the heat death of the universe. #lxde
