"Dad, Why Is This Art?"
Wandering around the more abstract areas of MOMA the above question was asked by both my kids. My answer….go place something between the two pictures in question. Why did you choose that thing? What does it mean to you? What do you want others to get from it? Hey, you just had a popup exhibit at MOMA, can I have your autograph?
Conversation followed. They came up with Art as any expression , could be anything anytime anyany.
And thus Art was defined…for now;).
